USA U20 lined up in a 4-2-3-1 in their last match, with Gordon Sevin replacing Dinho Capia as the centre-forward. They had already secured qualification before kick-off, but still showed no signs of easing off. Rubin Ramos, who had scored in each of the first two group matches, opened the scoring early again and led the side to a comprehensive win as they dominated throughout, finishing the group stage with a perfect record.

Guatemala U20 used a 5-3-2 in their previous game, again pairing Oscar Dilian with Marvin Avila up front, but neither had many chances to make an impact. The team spent most of the match on the back foot and managed only one shot on target. They battled to keep it to one goal in the first half, but collapsed after the break and ended up suffering a heavy defeat.

USA U20 have no injury or suspension concerns. Guatemala U20 also report no injuries or suspensions.

In terms of form, USA U20 beat Cuba U20 5-0 last time out. They won all three group matches, scoring 11 goals without conceding once, underlining their dominance. Guatemala U20 lost 4-0 to Mexico U20 in their previous outing and look ordinary in overall quality. Their four group-stage goals all came in a big win over the weakest side in the group, so this meeting with an in-form USA U20 looks a very tough assignment.

In the last meeting between the two teams, USA U20 won 1-0.
