Leon vs Pachuca: Draw Favoured as Both Sides Search for Stability

Leon welcome back Meba Gabindo after suspension, but Alfonso Alvarado is a doubt after suffering a head injury in the previous match against Tijuana. Angel Estrada is out with a fractured foot.

Leon lost 1-0 away to Tijuana in their last league outing. They had 61% possession and won 10 corners, but struggled to create clear danger and managed only two shots on target. Tijuana missed a penalty in the first half, but second-half substitute Gilberto Mora scored the winner after the break. Leon nearly found an equaliser late on when Romana hit the crossbar, but they still slipped to a second straight defeat to start the season.

Pachuca were also beaten unexpectedly, losing 2-1 at home to Queretaro. Salomon Rondon gave them an early lead, but they could not contain Queretaro's strong response and allowed the visitors to keep threatening. Queretaro finished with five shots on target, with Ali Avila equalising in the second half before striking again in stoppage time to complete the comeback.

Leon have opened the campaign with two defeats, but returning home and having Meba Gabindo available again should give them more attacking threat. Pachuca impressed in their opening win over Pumas, yet their defensive display against Queretaro was worrying, and their inconsistency makes them hard to trust. The draw looks the best pick here.
