Cobreloa Backed to Take Points Against Vulnerable Cobresal

Cobresal's poor defensive record and alarming recent form have left them under real pressure. Bottom club Cobreloa have struggled too, but their recent run of draws could give them a chance to nick an away win.

Team news: apart from Cobreloa defender Kisaris, every player from both sides is available for selection.

Cobresal drew 3-3 away to Huachipato in their last match, extending their winless league run to four games. Their form is a real concern, with just one win, two draws and 10 defeats in their last 13 league outings, leaving them in real danger of relegation. They have also conceded 32 goals, the worst defensive record in the Chilean top flight.

Cobreloa earned a 1-1 home draw against Everton de Vina del Mar last time out thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Francisco Pardo. They are now winless in six league matches, although their last three have all ended level. They sit bottom of the table and have scored only 15 league goals, underlining their attacking struggles.

Cobresal's defence has clear weaknesses, and with slightly better recent form, Cobreloa may be able to take advantage and come away with the win.

Head-to-head: the two sides met twice in the league last season and each won once. In the first league meeting this season, Cobreloa were originally held 0-0 at home by Cobresal, but the result was later changed to a 3-0 defeat for fielding an ineligible player.
