Eliteserien Preview: Valerenga look to make home edge count against HamKam

A dramatic meeting awaits in round 16 of the 2026 Norwegian Eliteserien as Valerenga host HamKam at 1:00am Beijing time on August 1. Only two points separate the sides in the table, with Valerenga seventh on 20 points from 14 matches and HamKam 10th on 18, but that narrow gap hides a stark contrast: Valerenga have gone 3 wins and 1 draw in their last four home games, while HamKam are still winless away this season at 0 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats from seven league trips.

Valerenga have been solid rather than spectacular overall, posting 6 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses from 14 matches to sit in mid-table.
