Racing Club backed to start with a home win

Racing Club head into the opener in strong attacking form after a 4-1 Argentine Cup win over Defensa y Justicia. Despite a poor recent head-to-head record against Gimnasia, they are tipped to take all three points at home.

Racing Club begin the season under new head coach Gustavo Costas. During the pre-season they signed players including Adrián Martínez and Bruno Zuculini, while Gabriel Rojas and Gonzalo Piovi left the club.

Gimnasia are now led by Leonardo Madelón. In the pre-season they handed Colombian goalkeeper Nelson Insfrán an 18-month contract, while veteran Lucas Castro joined Aldosivi on a free transfer.
