Corinthians will be without first-choice midfielder Rodrigo Garro through suspension after he accumulated enough yellow cards. Dutch forward Depay has returned after the World Cup, but with contract renewal talks ongoing, it remains unclear whether he will feature.

Remo are still missing first-choice goalkeeper Marcelo Rangel and leading scorer Gabriel Dal Toe due to injury.

Corinthians come into this match on the back of a 3-1 away win over Gremio in their last league outing. Although they fell behind early, coach Diniz's side responded strongly and were especially impressive in the second half, eventually turning the game around to claim all three points. Young midfielder Andre scored twice in that match and has reportedly attracted interest from several European clubs. Corinthians have now won two league games in a row.

Remo edged Sao Paulo 1-0 at home in their previous league match. While they were put under pressure by the visitors' attack, the team led by Condi held firm and snatched the winner in stoppage time to earn their fourth league victory of the season. Even so, Remo remain in the relegation zone on 18 points, three behind the teams just outside the drop zone.

Both sides are battling in the lower reaches of the table, but Corinthians' home form offers more assurance. Corinthians are backed to take all three points.

In the last four meetings between the two teams, each side has recorded two wins and two defeats.
