Servette's blunt attack points to low-scoring clash

Servette again deployed Julian Ayé as the central striker in their last Swiss Super League match, supported by attacking midfielder Stevanović and new winger Mathis Limbombe. However, their attacking performance showed no improvement and they failed to score until substitute Ouattara grabbed a late consolation, while an unsettled defence conceded repeatedly.

Grasshopper once again started newly signed young striker Nikolas Muci through the middle in their latest league outing, with Luca Paskotsi on the wing. Paskotsi delivered the stronger performance and opened the scoring in the first half, but defensive problems resurfaced after the break as Grasshopper conceded twice and turned a winning position into defeat.

Grasshopper suffered a 4-1 league defeat against Lugano and have now gone several matches without a win, including their pre-season club fixtures. Their forward line has also lacked sharpness, but they have shown an ability to avoid defeat away from home and could take a point from this match. A low-scoring contest is also worth considering.

Servette have won the last three league meetings between the sides. They won the most recent encounter 2-0, with five corners recorded in that match.
