A high-profile friendly takes place late on Saturday as defending UEFA Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain face Premier League giants Manchester United. United have won their last two friendlies with impressive attacking displays and will be confident of extending that run.

PSG recently played their first friendly of the summer, but most of their first-team regulars were absent. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia led an experimental side that suffered a 3-0 defeat to Mallorca. Although PSG enjoyed 58% possession to Mallorca's 42%, they were outperformed in total shots, 8-17, and corners, 3-5, underlining the limitations of their makeshift squad.

With friendlies primarily serving as opportunities to assess players and build cohesion, the result itself was of limited importance. However, PSG could be vulnerable again when they come up against a Manchester United side that has been in excellent pre-season form.

This will be United's fourth pre-season match and the strongest test yet for Michael Carrick's team. The Red Devils have won their past two friendlies, thrashing Rosenborg 5-0 before beating Atletico Madrid 2-1.

Last season's leading scorer Bryan Mbeumo featured in both matches. After failing to score against Rosenborg, he struck twice against Atletico and could pose the biggest threat to PSG's defence. With United carrying strong momentum into the contest, they have every chance of recording another friendly victory.
