Sirius out to tear down Goteborg

Sunday night's Allsvenskan round 14 features league leaders Sirius at home to Goteborg. Sirius have looked every bit a top side this season, especially with their outstanding attacking output, and they appear to have enough quality to beat a recent bogey team in Goteborg and gain some revenge.

After several years of only modest competitiveness, Sirius have been transformed this season. They have taken 11 wins and 2 draws from 13 league matches, making them the only unbeaten team in the division, with a remarkable 84.6% win rate. Their place at the top is built on excellent attacking performances. Led by Robi Jouni and Bisher Gebo, Sirius are averaging 2.77 goals per game, and they have not scored fewer than two goals in any league match so far. They have also netted 12 times across the last four rounds, with their scoring efficiency continuing to rise. Against a Goteborg side with plenty of defensive flaws, Sirius will be confident of delivering another goal-filled display.

With the back line looking badly exposed, Goteborg can only hope to keep the defeat respectable against a Sirius side that are strong at both ends and highly motivated.
