Daejeon Citizen Backed to Dig Out Win Over Gimcheon

Team news: Gimcheon Sangmu midfielder Lee Soo-bin remains suspended for one more match, but Lee Jung-taek returns for this game. Lee Chan-wook is a doubt, while Kang Joo-hyuk and Kim Min-gyu may both remain sidelined through injury.

For Daejeon Citizen, Masatoshi Ishida has recovered and is available again, but Seo Young-jae is still a doubt.

Gimcheon Sangmu drew 1-1 away to Gwangju FC in their last match. Both goals came inside the opening seven minutes, with Gimcheon conceding after five minutes before equalising two minutes later. Their recent form has been poor, and they are now without a win in eight consecutive league matches.

Daejeon Citizen also drew in their previous outing, finishing 0-0 away to Jeonbuk Motors. Although they had less possession, they defended solidly, and their opponents also missed a penalty.

While both sides are currently struggling for form, Daejeon Citizen have recently shown they possess the stronger defence. With Lee Soo-bin still suspended for Gimcheon Sangmu, Daejeon may have the edge in midfield and look capable of claiming an important win to move further away from the relegation zone.
