Bodo/Glimt Look Too Strong for HamKam

Bodo/Glimt rested three international-calibre regulars in their last league match, with forward Jens Hauge, midfielder Patrick Berg and Fredrik Bjorkan all used only from the bench. All three are expected to return to the starting line-up here, which should give the side an added lift in quality. Up front, Ole Blomberg started in that match, looked lively and converted a penalty, while he can combine again with in-form striker Kasper Hogh to give Bodo/Glimt real attacking threat.

HamKam stuck with a 5-3-2 in their previous league outing, with right-back Vidar Jonsson replacing Patrick McCarthy in the starting side, but the change brought only average results. The defence, led by centre-back Kjarone, has remained shaky, while goalkeeper Sandberg has also looked ordinary and unconvincing, as shown by the four goals they conceded in that game. Young striker Mamini has scored in two straight league matches, but he has had little support in attack. Reports that Porto are interested in him suggest he does have genuine quality.

For Bodo/Glimt, Wiesner, Daniel Bassi and August Mikkelsen are injured, with no suspensions reported. For HamKam, Roar Alexandersen is sidelined through injury, and they also have no suspensions.

Bodo/Glimt edged Fredrikstad 1-0 in their last league match and have been in excellent form, putting together a winning run. With a stronger line-up available again and a dominant recent head-to-head record, they look well placed to claim another victory. HamKam, by contrast, were thrashed 4-1 by Tromso last time out, their form has not improved, and with defensive frailties and limited overall strength, this away trip looks a difficult one.
